Fire Department Mission Statement

To exemplify our commitment as firefighters and emergency medical professionals by showing our continued Desire to Serve, our Ability to Perform, and our Courage to Act.

VISION STATEMENT
To achieve our mission is to KNOW OUR JOB, DO OUR JOB, and to be CONSISTENT.

To maximize our job responsibilities, we will remain focused in effectively and efficiently responding to and in the mitigation of emergencies, utilizing a systematic approach in the organizing of companies (crews).

To realize our effectiveness we recognize the necessity of an organized crew directed by a crew leader that functions as part of the crew and is assigned to maintain the crews focus on and off alarms.

To realize our concentrated focus the crew must have a clear understanding of their group and individual responsibilities and goals and how these relate to the proficient mitigation of alarms and other assignments.

The crew obtains this understanding of their group and individual role and how it relates to the crew, by response assignment rotations, constructive criticism to improve performance, and/or other staff or self initiated training, and the participation in other on or off duty training.

The crew leader and others within the crew provide constructive criticism through run reviews, shift training and by other means.

Through company efforts to maintain a high degree of operational effectiveness and proficiency, the companies will realize an expanding operational base, that may including multi-station operations, multi-jurisdictional or district alarm response assignments, multi-agency response assignments, and individual or multi-agency training.

Not withstanding, a vision must possess a solid foundation. This foundation allows the organization a solid base to build and grow upon. The foundation is based simple on knowing our job and doing our job. This is realized by the accepting of individual as-well-as-organizational limitation and expectations, and is also maintained by the crew's courteous and professional response to the community's requests.
