| The Fire Department, over the next five years, will provide training to as many residents as possible of Springfield Township and the Village of Lakemore, to effectively administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR. With the recent announcement by the American Heart Association, focusing on the value of quality CPR in saving lives when hearts stopped, concludes that simplifying CPR increases the likelihood that bystanders will provide high quality CPR to those people whose hearts have stopped. The initiative is a collaborative effort with the Village of Lakemore Fire Department.
